Rank applying for and why?
- Trial-mod. I've been told to make a staff application. I would rather start off as a trial-mod to see how well I am at becoming a staff member and how I handle situations as they occur.
Good points about yourself:
- I know a lot the of commands. Experience as staff on MC servers before. I'm not very good at listing points about myself, rather have others determine what my "good" and "bad" points are.
Less good points about yourself:
- I tend to act a bit wild at times and sometimes if everyone breaks a rule, I join in. I guess you could say I'm easily influenced.
If the person is a higher rank then you, but hes not respecting the rules, what do you do?
- I believe in the chain of command. This means if a operator starts spamming for no apparent reason, I will immediately contact the next available rank up (Admin -> Overseer -> Co-Owner -> Owner). The owner is not there to solve every problem, this is why there is a staff team.
If a person is not listening to the rules what are you going to do?
First, out of every situation, I will take a screenshot of which offence has occurred by whom.
- Griefer/blockspammer: First offence, if the grief is not extreme, I will undo them for 10 minutes and give them a private chat message telling them what they did, then give them a warning. If the problem persists, I will undo for one hour and jail the player and talk to the them until it is clearly understood to not happen again. The next time will be a ban and undo of the account. I will then contact and briefly explain why the player has been banned to staff.
- Spammer: First offence, I will warn them and tell them what they did to receive a warn. Second offence, I will kick the player off the server once and tell them why they received the kick. Third offence, I will mute the player for 30 minutes and talk to them. If the problem progresses, I will mute the player for an hour each time it happens again.
- Advertising: First offence, I will warn them and private message them what they advertised (So I won't be re-advertising), second offence, I will kick the player off the server and tell them why they received the kick. Third offence, I will mute the player and talk to them about why they are advertising. If the problem occurs again, I will ban the player or contact other staff members about the problem happening.
- Not respective to others: First offence, I will warn them and tell them who they didn't respect in a private message. Second offence, I will kick the player off the server. Third offence, I will talk to the player about the offence and mute them for 10 minutes. Fourth offence, I will have a serious conversation about disrespecting other players, and will mute for 1 hour. If the problem progresses, I will mute the player for 3 hours at a time.
- Inappropriate stuff: (This can differentiate upon how bad the offence is) I will remind the player with a warn that there are players who will find that disturbing. Second offence, I will mute(Inappropriate words)/jail+delete the build (Inappropriate builds) the player and talk to them about what makes somethings inappropriate. If it happens again, I will message-kick the player what they did and that they need to stop. If the problem so happens to keep continuing, I will ban the player or contact other staff members about the problem occurring.
- Abusing: I can break this down a little bit for different actions I would take.
-- Abusing (Staff rank|Above me): If a staff member is abusing their powers and their rank is above me, I would use the chain of command and contact the next highest staff member on to tell them what is happening.
-- Abusing (Staff rank|Below me): If a staff member is abusing their powers and their rank is below me, I will strictly warn them to stop as they should set examples to others. If it occurs more, I will punish the staff member or let a head-staff member know of what the staff member so they can correct them.
